Freeshop CoffeeShop

A Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority grant enabled the temporarily transformation of a vacant lot into an art space for the summer months. I teamed up with a local coffeeshop and rented a storage pod which I turned into a mini coffeeshop, with a large awning for sitting and having a cup. The FreeShop Coffeeshop was outfitted with handmade decor, crafted from reused and upcycled materials. I partnered with 5 local groups, and provided the space for outdoor programming for the summer. Over the summer the FreeShop Coffeeshop turned into a space for Senior Storytelling, Concerts, a kid’s building hour, and more. Summer 2013.
