Re-Shop Flower Shop

Launched through a collaboration between the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program and the Philadelphia Department of Parks and Recreation, called A20. I worked with the students at McVeigh Recreation Center to create upcycled flower bouquets and an entrepreneurial business model to create a “flower shop” where instead of selling flowers, students gave flower bouquets as gifts, so long as the taker had someone to dedicate and recycle, or re-gift them to in turn. We set up our “shop” outside the Rec center, and gave away over 100 bouquets. Students learned about basic business operation, upcycled art, and generosity through exchange-based art practice. 2012.
